Project Director - Mission Critical, London

About You
We seek a personable self-starter with a positive, professional attitude, excellent collaboration skills, and the ability to work under pressure, manage varied workloads, and meet deadlines while maintaining technical excellence.
Primary Objective
Manage large multidisciplinary teams on mission-critical projects, support business growth through sales and development, and ensure project delivery aligns with technical, time, and profit targets.
Responsibilities
1. Project Management: Oversee project performance across disciplines, ensuring coordination, quality, and commercial management to meet profit goals.
2. Financial Performance: Review project costs, profits, and sales reports monthly; prepare quarterly board reports; manage invoicing and debt collection.
3. Sales & Business Development: Maintain client relationships, lead project presentations, pursue sales leads, and support marketing efforts.
4. General Duties: Control resources, ensure compliance and quality, meet deadlines, manage scope changes, and support team development and quality systems.
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Extensive project management experience, especially in datacenter/mission-critical projects.
* Leadership, resource management, and client relationship skills.
* Educational qualifications to degree level; professional status preferred.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
* 15+ years of related experience, including 7+ years in project management.
* Professional Engineer (PE) license.
* Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
