A great opportunity has arisen for an Instrumentation Technician to join a leading manufacturing company.
Job Description:
Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and fault-finding on:
Pressure gauges
Flow meters
Temperature sensors
Level transmitters
Actuators and control valves
Maintain and troubleshoot SCADA/DCS/PLC systems and hard-wired control loops
Conduct functional testing of process control systems and proof testing of safety instrumented systems
Support the commissioning and integration of new instrumentation and control systems
Ensure accurate documentation of all instrumentation assets using the company CMMS
Electrical Systems:
Maintain site electrical distribution systems (415V 3-phase, 110V & 240V)
Read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, specifications, and manuals
Maintain site electrical circuit and layout diagrams
General Duties:
Isolate and immobilise plant safely in accordance with LOTO procedures
Perform risk assessments for routine and non-routine tasks
Participate in a 24/7 shift rota and a 1-in-4 weekly on-call schedule
Support project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives
Share technical knowledge and contribute to team training
Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:
Strong understanding of instrumentation principles and control systems
Proficient in MS Office and CMMS platforms
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated and data-driven
Level 3 Electrical Qualification and/or completed full electrical apprenticeship
IPAF certification (or willingness to train)
Working knowledge of: Electricity at Work Regulations
BS EN 61508 / BS EN 61511 (advantageous)
BS60079 (advantageous)

Days only - 39 hours - 1 call out in 4 weeks (rarely called out)
