Role Summary
NHSBT is seeking a Programme Director for the Cell, Apheresis and Gene Therapies Directorate (CAGT). The Programme Director will lead a transformational programme to increase the commercialisation of the Advanced Therapy Medicinal Product (ATMP) service offering, including apheresis, cell and gene therapy manufacturing and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a large and diverse team and manage a set of interdependent projects and strategic change activities.
* Own the successful delivery of the business case, establishing governance and assurance structures, implementation strategy, monitoring progress, and managing risks and issues.
* Ensure programmes are delivered within agreed time, cost, and quality standards and that business readiness for change is achieved.
* Engage at a senior level with internal stakeholders across NHSBT and external partners such as suppliers, providers, commissioners, clinicians, external bodies, ministers, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and NHS England and Improvement.
* Demonstrate credibility with senior stakeholders, identify and address stakeholder interests, and secure ownership and buy‑in for delivery.
Qualifications / Experience
Experience leading complex, multi‑phased programmes in a large organisation, with demonstrable success in governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
