These roles are based at RNAS Culdrose, Helston TR12 7RH Competitive Salary with excellent benefits to be discussed on application Full time, Permanent 38 hours per week contracts available, working a day routine Our client has some exciting opportunities for Aircraft Technicians (Merlin) to join the, at the Royal Navy Air Station (RNAS) Culdrose, Helston. They are proud to support the IMOS (Integrated Merlin Operational Support) and AESES (Air Engineering and Aviation Support) at RNAS Culdrose, delivering activities ranging from the repair and maintenance of military aircraft to off-aircraft support services. Culdrose is one of the Navy's two principal air bases, and one of the busiest military airfields in the UK. You'll support aircraft engineering services across both the IMOS and AESAS contracts, supporting operational deliverables and interfaces in a highly regulated environment. Carrying out work as an aircraft engineering fitter, you'll complete contracted tasks ensuring customer policy and regulations are met to a high standard (including the Health and Safety at Work (HASAW) Act 1974 and Customer Policy and Regulations), while ensuring any customer complaints or quality issues and business risks are raised with team leads. You will be entrusted with completing any administration duties required for the role and be committed to attending further training courses to develop your skills and knowledge. What you’ll need to do the role: Minimum of a few years working in an airworthiness environment, relevant experience for the Merlin aircraft or hands on other Rotary experience Previous experience of working with Merlin aircraft engineering and aircraft systems/ Merlin aircraft servicing and support equipment An understanding of Lean Operating Procedures An understanding of Naval Air Publications and Compound – Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (CIETP) Commitment to adhering to Health and Safety, the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations, Tool Control and Quality Practices An understanding of engineering and asset management systems To have completed a Maintenance Human Factors course What we offer: Salary: Competitive salaries with annual reviews Pension: Up to 6% contributory pension scheme Holidays: 29 days' annual leave plus bank holidays A more detailed job description is available on request.
