To provide electrical maintenance throughout Group Rhodes while ensuring health & safety procedures are followed.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and policies.
2. Conduct regular preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and electrical issues.
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems to determine the best solutions.
4. Collaborate with contractors on larger projects and repairs.
5. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and resolve electrical issues.
6. Carry out electrical maintenance work by approved methods and to quality standards.
7. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new plant equipment and perform periodic checks.
8. Maintain building electrical circuits.
9. Ensure all electrical equipment is PAT tested within the required date.
10. Work safely on cherry-pickers, scaffolding, and other platforms in compliance with Working at Height Regulations (WAHR).
11. Comply with WEEE regulations for the safe use and disposal of electrical components.
12. Regularly maintain and fault-check electrical equipment.
13. Care for electrical test equipment, jigs, fixtures, and tooling during daily operations.
14. Observe health, safety, and security requirements at all times.
15. Occasionally travel to customer sites for maintenance tasks.
16. Be willing to learn new duties outside the normal scope, such as BS7671, 17th/18th Edition, or City & Guilds 2381.
