Comic Relief is looking for Freelance Campaign Assistant Producers (Factual) to support with Red Nose Day 2026.
You’ll work closely with our in-house producers and exec producer to help deliver powerful factual stories across TV, radio and digital that show how money raised by Comic Relief is spent.
What you’ll be doing (project deliverables):
•Support with research, contributor casting and story development.
•Carry out initial interviews with organisations Comic Relief funds and individuals who have been supported by that work.
•Attend recces/shoots, help set up filming and support contributor care.
•Write up case studies and maintain accurate records of conversations with projects/contributors.
•Support with the safeguarding of contributors ensure sensitive content is handled responsibly.
What we’re looking for (skills & experience):
•Experience working in broadcast or media with strong skills in factual research and casting.
•Experience handling sensitive stories and working with vulnerable contributors.
•Ability to juggle multiple projects and deliver under pressure.
•Excellent writing skills with attention to detail.
•Organised, proactive and confident in liaising with different stakeholders.
•Professional or lived experience working with marginalised communities.
Nice to have:
•Self-shooting and editing (Premiere Pro).
•Experience in a charity/broadcast environment.
•Familiarity with BBC production teams and Red Nose Day content.
