Birmingham and Solihull LMNS (Local Maternity & Neonatal System) was established in 2017 to support maternity and neonatal care across Birmingham and Solihull to implement the recommendations of "Better Births" (2016), and more recently Ockenden Maternity Review through the delivery of the National Maternity Improvement Programme. To deliver against the above the BSOL LMNS works closely with University Hospital Birmingham sites and Birmingham Woman's and Children's Hospital to deliver jointly on improvements through transformation, system collaboration and providing local system assurance to NHSE.

The BSOL LMNS is committed to reducing inequalities in maternity care and outcomes and we have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 midwife to support the delivery of culturally competent genetic services and improve perinatal outcomes for our population. The Genetic Risk Equity Neonatal Nurse will be aligned to the Neonatal Services of Birmingham Women's Hospital, to work closely with the regional genetics service and cover Central & West areas of Birmingham.
