The Clinical Biochemistry Department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary provides core, immunoassay, point of care, specialist protein, metabolic and toxicology services to the North‑East of Scotland, including specialist Biochemistry services to the Orkney and Shetland Islands, with a catchment population of over 600,000. The department is accredited by the UK Accreditation Service (UKAS ISO 15189).
