SEND Learning Support Assistant

Pay Range: £90.00 - £100.00 / day
Contract: Temporary
This SEND Learning Support Assistant Opportunity:
A welcoming and supportive primary school located in Central Bristol are seeking dedicated, knowledgeable and proactive SEND Learning Support Assistants to support pupils who require additional learning and communication support. This role will involve working closely with children who have special educational needs, including those with EAL and behavioural needs.
In this Teaching Assistant role, you will:
* Provide individual support to pupils with SEND, helping them engage with learning materials
* Assist children with communication needs, ensuring they feel supported and understood
* Work closely with the SENDCo and teaching staff to follow personalised learning plans
* Help implement strategies linked to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
* Adapt learning resources and classroom activities to meet individual needs
* Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and participation in both learning and social interactions
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience supporting children with special educational needs, particularly autism or communication difficulties
* Be patient, empathetic, and committed to inclusive education
* Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with staff and pupils
