Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. In this role, you will support the kitchen staff in various tasks to ensure smooth operations and high-quality food service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
* Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of chefs or kitchen supervisors.
* Perform food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients with proper knife skills.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all food safety standards are met.
* Help with serving meals during peak hours and assist in catering events as needed.
* Support the team with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
* Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and kitchen operations.
Skills
* Proficient cooking skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques.
* Strong knife skills for efficient meal preparation.
* Experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within the culinary industry.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining a positive attitude.
