We currently have a full time vacancy for a receptionist post in the Urology Outpatients Department working at the City Campus
We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated staff member who would like the opportunity to work in a fast paced, positive, developing environment.
The applicant should have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner and good customer care skills. The post holder should also be able to prioritise and work well as a member of a team, use your own initiative, maintaining accuracy with both verbal and written communication.

The role entails managing reception, welcoming approx. 120+ patients per day and ensuring that all relevant administrative tasks are completed to provide the expected high standard of care in hospital.
For this exciting and challenging role candidates need to be keen to develop their administrative and clerical skills and be a team player. Receptionist skills, experience in the NHS, knowledge of the hospital and use of NUH computer systems such as MEDWAY PAS, NOTIS and UNITY would be a distinct advantage.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate needs to be computer literate, experienced in the use of electronic communications and be confident during face to face interactions with patients and visitors. They will be a focal point of contact to the department who also acts as an information resource for staff and visitors. Knowledge of hospital systems i.e. Medway, PAS and DHR is desirable, however training can be provided.
