About the Role
You will provide personalised tuition to students who may face additional challenges, including:
1. SEN (Special Educational Needs)
2. SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health)
3. Trauma
4. Risk of Permanent Exclusion (PEX)
Your sessions will help learners build confidence, engage positively, and achieve academic success.
As a Tutor, you will:
5. Deliver tailored lessons to meet individual learning needs
6. Support emotional well-being and encourage positive engagement
7. Work 1:1 or in small groups, adapting strategies for complex needs
8. Track progress and share feedback with parents and schools
9. Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
About you:
10. Minimum 1 year of experience in UK schools in roles such as Tutor, Teacher, Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, ELSA, or 1:1 support
11. Experience working with learners with additional needs
12. Strong communication and organisational skills

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
13. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people Experience of working with learners with SEN
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
14. Hold right to work in the UK
15. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
16. Provide references upon request
17. Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
