RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage a varied caseload involving contentious probate matters.
* Advise clients on disputes related to wills, estates, and trusts.
* Prepare and draft legal documents, including statements of case and correspondence.
* Conduct legal research to support case strategies.
* Represent clients in hearings and conferences.
* Collaborate with senior colleagues on complex cases.
* Maintain accurate and up-to‑date client records.
* Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
* Participate in business development and client relationship activities.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Qualified Solicitor registered in England and Wales (NQ+).
* Solid background in dispute resolution, ideally with exposure to contentious probate matters.
* Experience contributing to business development initiatives, fostering strong client relationships, and attending networking events.
* Membership of the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists is desirable but not essential.
* Confident, approachable communicator who provides clear and empathetic advice on complex will, estate, and trust matters.
* Excellent drafting and writing skills.
* Proactive and analytical approach to legal research, demonstrating critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
* Comfortable representing clients in hearings, conferences, and other proceedings, advocating effectively in court.
* Collaborative team player who works well with senior colleagues on complex cases and welcomes feedback and further development.
* Highly organised and diligent, maintaining accurate, up‑to‑date client records while meeting deadlines.
* Results‑driven, client‑focused, balancing legal expertise with a practical understanding of clients’ needs.
