In-House Legal Counsel (Dual Qualified England & Wales / Scotland)

A leading renewable energy company is seeking an experienced dual-qualified solicitor (England & Wales and Scotland) to join its growing in-house legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the development, construction and operation of renewable energy projects across the UK. and in Europe.
Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will provide commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of matters, working closely with senior stakeholders and project teams to help deliver the company's ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
Providing legal support across the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, including development, construction, financing and operation.
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including EPC, O&M, supply, land and consultancy contracts.
Advising on property, planning, regulatory and environmental matters affecting renewable energy developments.
Supporting project acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and corporate transactions.
Managing external legal advisers where required.
Advising senior management on legal risk and compliance issues.
Assisting with the development and implementation of internal policies and governance procedures.
Candidate Profile
Qualified solicitor in both England & Wales and Scotland.
Ideally 5+ years' PQE, although candidates with a different level of experience who can demonstrate the required expertise will be considered.
Strong experience gained within a leading law firm, in-house legal team, or a combination of both.
Exposure to the energy, infrastructure, utilities or renewables sector would be highly advantageous.
Commercially minded with excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
Able to work autonomously while building strong relationships across the business.
Pragmatic, solutions-focused and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
