IKEA Gateshead is looking to welcome Sales Assistants who thrive in large, fast-paced environments, are comfortable collaborating with customers to meet their sleep and storage needs, and are eager to co-create effectively.
What We Offer
* The start date of employment will be: 29th June 2025
* Competitive hourly rate of £12.60 per hour
* 8-hour weekend-only contracts working Friday to Sunday, with availability until 9.00 pm
* 12, 16, and 20-hour contracts working 3-4 days out of 7 and 3 out of 4 weekends, with availability until 9.00 pm

* Strong forward planning skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, and enjoy teamwork and independent responsibilities, with computer literacy

What You'll Be Doing Day to Day
* Providing an inspiring shopping experience by approaching customers, identifying needs, and advising on solutions for their homes
* Showing enthusiasm for our range, curiosity about product stories and design
* Supporting sales by keeping areas clean, stocked, priced, and well-presented, including handling some heavy products
