Job Title : Educational Psychologist Banding : Equivalent to Band 8a Location : Greater Manchester (hybrid working across home, schools, and regional offices) Working Hours : 37.5 hours per week, term-time only (approx. 41 weeks per year) Salary : £63,372 FTE (approx. £57,738 pro rata) Are you an HCPC-registered Educational Psychologist looking for a rewarding, flexible role where your expertise can make a real difference? We’re recruiting for a permanent Educational Psychologist to join a well-established, values-led organisation supporting children and young people with complex needs across Greater Manchester. This is a hybrid role offering autonomy, professional development, and the opportunity to work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities As an Educational Psychologist, your role will be central to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND. You will: Carry out psychological assessments and needs analyses to inform tailored interventions Produce high-quality reports for families, schools, and professionals Collaborate with education staff to co-develop strategies that remove barriers to learning Deliver training and consultation to internal and external stakeholders Supervise and support Assistant Psychologists and trainees Contribute to service development, research, and reflective practice Work as part of a wider clinical team, engaging in supervision and CPD Benefits Term-time only working (approx. 41 weeks per year) Hybrid working model – home, school, and office-based Generous salary and annual leave entitlement Access to regular clinical supervision and peer support Opportunities for CPD, research, and service development Supportive, inclusive, and values-driven working environment Qualifications and Experience We welcome applications from candidates who meet the following criteria: Essential : Doctorate in Educational Psychology and current HCPC registration Desirable : Experience working with children and young people with autism, learning disabilities, and mental health needs Strong communication, consultation, and report-writing skills A collaborative, reflective approach to practice If you don’t meet every requirement but feel passionate about this role, we still encourage you to apply.
