I am hiring a Network Engineer on behalf of an international, family-owned engineering and materials technology group. The organisation has grown into a global partner for industrial clients, delivering customised products and production systems used across sectors such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, and healthcare. In this role you will be responsible for:
* Design, operate, and optimise Cisco-based LAN/WAN and SD-WAN networks across multiple locations
* Manage and support network security, firewalls, and connectivity services
* Administer and integrate VMware environments and Veeam backup solutions
* Troubleshoot complex network and infrastructure issues and ensure high availability
* Support IT projects, infrastructure improvements, and global rollout activities
This role is hybrid 2 to 3 days a week in Baden-Württemberg Germany.
Essential:
* Strong experience with Cisco networking technologies (routing, switching, SD-WAN)
* Hands‑on knowledge of VMware virtualization and Veeam backup solutions
* Solid understanding of network security and enterprise infrastructure
* Experience working in complex, multi‑site environments
* Structured problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain issues clearly to technical teams and stakeholders in both German and English – minimum C1 level German
Desirable:
* Relevant Cisco certifications
