Suite 1 Littlegate House 16-17 St Ebbe’s Street Oxford, OX1 1PT The Uehiro Oxford Institute invites application for 2 Research Fellows, to work as part of a research project ‘Predictive Technologies, Ethics, and the Future of Insurance’, based in the Uehiro Oxford Institute. This role would be suitable for individuals who have or are working towards completing a PhD/DPhil by the closing date for these posts. About us Based in Littlegate House, the Uehiro Oxford Institute was established in 2024 through a generous benefaction from the Uehiro Foundation on Ethics and Education, the Uehiro Oxford Institute aims to advance well-being and global harmony by fostering world-leading research on the most important ethical questions, and by research-led assistance in ethical decision-making outside the Institute. About You
7. Hold a PhD/DPhil or be close to completion by the advertised closing date for these posts
8. A keen interest in this specific area of research
9. Ability to analyse data and philosophical literature
10. Be able to manage own research and administrative activities
11. Possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to write text that can be published, present data at conferences, and represent the research group at meetings.
12. Possess the ability to quickly learn new skills and to work independently and proactively to problem solve
