March - October About Glen Nevis Holidays Glen Nevis Holidays owns and operates the campsite and self-catering holiday park in Glen Nevis. We also own and manage 1,000 acres of floodplain and mountain landscape in one of Scotland’s most iconic glens. Our small, dedicated estate team works closely to restore nature, manage visitor impact, and deliver unforgettable visitor experiences. A central part of our operation is caring for our herd of 20 Highland cattle, which we use to restore and manage native habitats across the estate. With hundreds of thousands of visitors coming through the glen every year, we work hard to keep the landscape beautiful — from litter picking to friendly, informative engagement with the public during peak season. We run popular Highland Cow Experiences, giving visitors the chance to meet our cattle and learn about their role in restoration land management. About the Role We are looking for a motivated, personable Ranger to join our team for the 2026 season. This is a varied, hands-on outdoor role combining animal care, visitor engagement, and estate management. You will play a key role in caring for our Highland cattle, carrying out ranger checks across the estate, and delivering guided walks to the public. This role suits someone who enjoys working outdoors in all conditions, has a genuine interest in animals husbandry and nature restoration, and feels confident working with groups of visitors. Key Responsibilities Livestock management including daily welfare checks of our Highland cattle Ranger checks including litter picking, path strimming and fence work Delivering guided walks and Highland Cow Experiences to groups of up to 30 people Providing welcoming, engaging, and informative visitor interactions Supporting estate maintenance, conservation, and habitat management tasks Working flexibly, with additional hours during busy periods Working Pattern Minimum of 3 shifts per week for ranger and cattle checks plus leading guided experiences Additional hours available at peak times as required for guided experiences Essential Requirements Personable and confident engaging with large groups of visitors Happy to work outdoors in all weathers Good level of physical fitness and ability to carry out manual work A genuine desire to work with and care for animals Ability to live within a reasonably commutable distance of Glen Nevis for the contracted period Desirable Experience Experience of animal husbandry or livestock care Customer service or visitor-facing experience A proven interest in nature restoration, conservation, or land management What We Offer A unique seasonal role in the iconic Nevis Landscape Hands-on experience with livestock and conservation-focused land management End-of-season bonus A friendly, supportive team Potential opportunities for ongoing or winter work Deadline is noon Wednesday 5th March
