The Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Cafe Chef to bring creativity and flavour to our kitchen. Our cafe has a strong Korean-inspired identity, and we're looking for someone who can help us celebrate those roots while also drawing from their own culinary background to keep the menu fresh, inventive, and exciting.
You don't need direct experience with Korean food to apply — we welcome chefs from all cuisines who are eager to learn, experiment, and bring their unique influences to our plant-based menu.
Key Responsibilities
* Play an active role in day-to-day kitchen operations with creativity and care.
* Contribute to a plant-based menu that highlights Korean inspiration
* Work with the team and management to brainstorm, test, and refine new dishes.
* Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
* Support with kitchen inventory, ordering, and waste reduction.
* Share skills, mentor team members, and contribute to a positive kitchen culture.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
* Collaborate on events, specials, and seasonal menu updates.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Chef or Sous Chef (plant-based or world cuisine experience a plus, but not required).
* An openness to working with Korean flavours, alongside your own creative influences.
* A passion for flavour, sustainability, and culinary innovation.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.
* Flexibility to adapt, problem-solve, and grow with our cafe.

Schedule
* Full-time
* Wednesdays – Sundays (cafe closed Mondays and Tuesdays, so this will be your weekend)
