The job itself
Overall Purpose:
To carry an agreed caseload of children experiencing complex situations and to mentor other social workers within the team to develop practice. The postholder will play an important role in supporting colleagues in the team and promoting high standards of practice. You will work with children, young people and families with a wide variety of needs to deliver excellent practice which is consistent throughout the region. We want you to inspire us and have a real impact on the way we work. There are 2 Advanced Social Work Practitioner posts, one in Goole and one in Beverley. Both posts are in the Strengthening and Supporting Families teams, which is where we support families in the long term. This includes undertaking Section 17 assessments, Child Protection, PLO and private and public court proceedings.
