Teaching Personnel are working closely with a supportive primary school in the Carnforth (LA5) area to recruit a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone with a passion for supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive both academically and socially.
The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who require extra support, which may include 1:1 work, small‑group interventions, or helping children with specific learning, behavioural, or developmental needs. Whether you already have experience in an SEN environment or are looking to move into a more specialist support role, the school provides a welcoming and encouraging setting to grow your skills.
The school is looking for someone who:
* Has a caring, patient and resilient approach
* Is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs
* Can follow tailored support plans and work closely under the direction of the SENCo and class teacher
* Is confident in building positive relationships with pupils and helping them feel safe and supported
* Is adaptable and able to respond to the varied needs of KS1 and KS2 learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
