About the Role
As a Personal Tutor you will support students at UC Sheffield with the best possible experience. You will help improve outcomes for Adult and Higher Education students through formal 1:1s and other pastoral interventions, academic support, participation, satisfaction rates and maintaining positive destinations including internal progression and UCAS applications. You will increase the breadth of SHAPE (Staying Safe, Health and Well-being, Active Citizenship, Progression and Careers, and Equality Matters) and academic support, with a focus on students with protected characteristics and in priority groups.
Responsibilities
* Provide formal 1:1s and pastoral interventions to support student outcomes
* Deliver academic and pastoral guidance to improve progression, participation and satisfaction
* Support internal progression and UCAS applications
* Promote SHAPE themes and inclusive practice across student cohorts
* Monitor and support students in priority groups and those with protected characteristics
What We Can Offer
Salary: £32,523 – £36,566 per annum (before pro-rata adjustment) based on skills, knowledge and experience.
