Search are supporting the recruitment of a Cashroom Assistant to join a leading firm in Edinburgh on a permanent, full-time basis with hybrid working. You'll be at the heart of the firm's financial operations, managing client and office account transactions and ensuring compliance with key regulatory standards.
From processing payments and reconciliations to supporting audits and working closely with Partners and Fee Earners, this role gives you exposure to a wide range of finance tasks in a professional, collaborative environment. Your responsibilities will include:
Understand the scope of the Law Society Accounts Rules and how they impact on the administrative tasks performed within the Cashroom
Input and progress data accurately and promptly onto the firm's Practice Management System
Reconcile and replicate data across systems as appropriate
Liaise with fee-earners regarding transactions
Use on-line banking systems for processing payments
Provide audit evidence and ensure compliance with Law Society rules for client funds
Recognise and manage and report risk effectively
Drive efficiencies in the team.
What we're looking for:
Show highly developed organisational skills
Be confident working with the Practice Management System
Have a positive attitude, be numerate and methodical
Be a team worker who can also work using your own initiative
Handle difficult people and situations successfully
Identify and manage risk effectively in your work and for your team
Have a sound knowledge of LSS and SRA accounts rules, AML legislation and Third-Party Payments
