We have an exciting opportunity for a Supervising Social Worker to join our established, innovative and enthusiastic team. Therapeutic practice is embedded throughout our work to promote the best possible outcomes for children and young people living with our families, which is at the heart of all we do. Foster Careline is a small, unitary agency providing a therapeutic support service to fostering families, children and young people across the North West. We are a team of twelve, with many years’ experience across the childcare sector that we bring to the service. In addition to our permanent members of staff, we also have independent workers and panel members. Our service was at its last inspection rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and we continue to thrive and develop. We are proud to be a Social Enterprise who are passionate about our investment into turning around the lives of children and young people. Whilst our registered office is based at Ellesmere Port, given the nature of the role there is significant flexibility as to working patterns that still enables a robust and consistent service to our fostering families, without excessive travelling. Currently, supervising social workers attend the office for 1 duty day per week and the monthly team meeting, occasionally other times may occur. We are particularly keen to consider candidates who would be interested in supporting a specific caseload of families in the Central, North and East Lancashire area. Caseloads are realistic and managed, to ensure an excellent level of support can be provided by our team to the families. The role of the Supervising Social Worker will include: Managing, supporting and supervising a caseload of foster parents Opportunity to complete Form F Assessment. Engagement in Participation events Working within a Trauma-informed practice model supported by our clinical service. Support our foster carers on a rota basis in our out-of-hours service. Accessing training to support use of CHARMS recording database. Participating in recruitment events. Our leadership team will invest in your progression as a professional in the childcare sector. Hours Our full-time hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 9am -17:00pm and Fridays 9am – 16:30pm The role is full-time over 5 days per week.
