Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: WF4 Salary: £460 – £600 per week Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day Start Date: Immediately Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and making a real difference in their learning journey? A school in the WF4 area is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide tailored support for students with diverse learning requirements. About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning, behaviour, and personal development of students with special educational needs. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to implement lesson plans, manage classroom activities, and ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed. Responsibilities: - Implement personalised learning plans and support strategies tailored to the unique needs of each student. - Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages trust, engagement, and positive behaviour. - Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary staff to provide comprehensive support. - Assist with classroom activities, group work, and one-to-one interventions. - Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and engagement. - Support students with personal care, hygiene, or eating where needed, ensuring dignity and respect. - Encourage independence, social development, and motivation among learners. Qualifications: - Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role is preferred. - Understanding of special educational needs and evidence-based support strategies. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to adapt to the individual and dynamic needs of students. - A patient, compassionate, and supportive approach to working with children.
