We are looking for a highly diligent and driven Payroll Officer to join our finance team in Livingston. This isnt just a data-entry role; you will be a key part of our Sureserve Energy Services UK division, ensuring our workforce is supported and compensated accurately as we scale. Key tasks and responsibilities. Manage payroll within strict deadlines, including new starters, leavers, absences, and statutory pay (SSP, SMP, etc.). Reconcile fixed pay instructions (uplifts/salary changes) and prepare journals for the finance team to ensure flawless financial statements. Provide administrative services for pension schemes and ensure all processes align with current UK tax laws and payroll regulations. Act as a helpful point of contact for internal employees and external stakeholders, resolving queries with clarity and professionalism. Share your legislative knowledge within the business and maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems. Required skills and experience. Strong background in payroll processing and a solid understanding of UK payroll/tax legislation. A sound understanding of pension scheme administration. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with Miracle Pay is highly desirable. Clear, concise communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
