Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the MASH Team to work full time based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
The salary for this permanent Social Worker role is up to £42,503 per annum.
Responsibilities:
1. Safeguard and promote the welfare of disabled children/young people and support their families and carers by working with cases appropriate to your assessed experience, skills, and knowledge.
2. Assess the needs and circumstances of children and young people.
3. Plan, carry out, review, and evaluate social work practice with them and other professionals.
4. Support and represent the needs, views, and circumstances of children and young people.
5. Manage risks to children, young people, families, carers, yourself, and others.
6. Manage and be accountable for your social work practice under supervision and support.
7. Assist and provide advice to families and carers.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of skills and resources through training and supervision.
9. Advise management on community needs and resources.
10. Keep accurate and current records.
11. Demonstrate professional competence by following current knowledge, standards of best practice, and HCPC codes of practice.
12. Contribute to and undertake the assessment and supervision of students, support new staff through coaching, and collaborate with less experienced colleagues.
13. Work closely with other community agencies, both statutory and voluntary, to support preventative strategies.
14. Maintain County Policies on Equal Opportunities and Anti-Racism.
15. Carry out other duties as defined by the Director of Children’s Services.
Requirements:
* A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
* Understanding of relevant legislation.
* Registration with Social Work England.
