We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Compliance Officer to join us at Wolverhampton Homes. This role is all about helping us operate responsibly and sustainably – identifying environmental risks, improving practices, and embedding environmental thinking across the organisation. We’re looking for someone who is curious, analytical and motivated to make a difference, with the opportunity to develop your skills and grow your career within a supportive, forward‑thinking team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support the identification, assessment and management of environmental risks across the organisation
* Analyse environmental, waste and carbon data to drive insight and continuous improvement
* Support and embed environmental compliance processes and best practice across teams
* Contribute to key initiatives, including carbon reduction and waste management programmes
* Influence and support colleagues across the organisation to ensure consistent and effective environmental compliance
About you
* Do you have a genuine interest in environmental sustainability, compliance or risk?
* Are you confident working with data and using it to identify trends and opportunities for improvement?
* Can you interpret legislation, information and data and apply it in a practical, real‑world way?
* Do you build strong relationships and feel confident influencing others to adopt better ways of working?
* Do you have (or are you working towards) a qualification or experience in environmental, sustainability or compliance – or are you looking to build your career in this area?
