Internal Communications and Engagement Manager / London / Hybrid / Up to £66,000
An excellent opportunity has arisen with a global brand for a senior Internal Communications Lead to shape and drive internal communications and engagement across the organisation.
As Internal Communications Lead, you will own the internal communications strategy and act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team. You will play a key role in driving cultural and organisational change, ensuring colleagues are informed, engaged, and aligned with strategic priorities, values, and a new performance framework.
Working closely with the CEO, HR, directors, and senior managers, you will deliver high-impact communications, leadership visibility, and engagement initiatives across the organisation.
Role and Responsibilities:
Strategic communications leadership: develop, own, and evolve the organisation-wide internal communications and engagement strategy aligned to business objectives and culture
CEO business partnering: act as the CEO’s internal communications partner, shaping leadership narrative, visibility, key messaging, presentations, and stakeholder events
Executive & directorate partnering: partner with the executive leadership team and directors to deliver communications that support strategy execution, change, and employee engagement
HR engagement lead: work closely with HR to design and deliver employee engagement initiatives and support organisational change and culture programmes
Channel ownership: own and manage all internal communications channels, ensuring they are fit for purpose, strategically aligned, and continuously improved through insight and feedback
Event leadership: lead on flagship internal events including away days, town halls, leadership briefings, and social events, from development through delivery and communications
Content leadership: set standards and create compelling internal communications content including intranet articles, leadership messages, email announcements, and presentations
Message development: develop organisational narratives, key messages, and talking points to ensure consistency across teams and leadership levels
Change communications: design and deliver clear, transparent communications to support organisational change initiatives
Metrics and analytics: monitor, analyse, and report on communications effectiveness, using data to inform decisions and demonstrate impact
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proven experience leading internal communications at a strategic level
Strong experience partnering with senior leadership teams, including CEO and executives
Experience building and managing SharePoint and Microsoft 365 communication tools
Advanced experience developing, designing, and writing engaging internal communications
Strong understanding of internal communications best practice and storytelling
Data-driven approach with experience using insights and metrics to shape strategy
