The position focuses on safeguarding vulnerable adults from financial abuse, ensuring their income is managed appropriately, and supporting them to retain independence wherever possible. You will act in the best interests of individuals who lack the capacity or ability to manage their own finances. Key Responsibilities Undertake the delegated role of Appointee for individuals who lack capacity or are physically unable to manage their finances. Apply for and collect benefits and income on behalf of service users, ensuring timely payment of utility bills, care contributions, and payments to providers. Operate, manage, and reconcile bank accounts for service users, maintaining accurate records of all transactions. Complete regular audits to ensure appropriate use of service users’ funds. Make necessary purchases on behalf of individuals, following financial procedures and guidelines.
