Rotational Occupational Therapists
The closing date is 24 May 2026
The North Cornwall Integrated Therapies Team has an exciting opportunity for two Band 5 Occupational Therapists to join a newly created rotation between Bodmin Hospital Community Assessment & Treatment Unit (CATU) and the North Cornwall Community Rehabilitation Team. These full‑time roles run on a 9‑month rotational basis, offering the chance to consolidate university learning across both inpatient and community settings. We particularly welcome applications from new graduates and are committed to nurturing and developing our Occupational Therapy workforce.
Bodmin CATU is a progressive, fast‑paced short‑stay assessment unit where patients receive rapid assessment and treatment, often on the same day, with an average stay of up to 72 hours or transfer for ongoing care. This setting offers experience with a wide range of conditions and social needs, supporting the development of assessment, intervention planning, and effective discharge skills.
Within the Community Rehabilitation Team, you will work primarily in patients' homes across a large rural locality, managing diverse and complex conditions including neurological, orthopaedic, respiratory, falls, and frailty. This role provides variety and challenge, with each patient interaction differing in context and need.
Together, these roles provide a breadth of experience across the patient journey, forming a strong foundation for your Occupational Therapy career.
