SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Bath

Frequency: Full Time
Teaching Personnel has an exciting opportunity for SEN HLTA to work within one of our schools in Bath.
In this role, you will be based in a dedicated SEN resource base within the school, supporting children who have higher needs. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs
* Implementing behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
* Assisting with personalised learning plans to help pupils achieve their goals
* Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement.
* Create and maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment, ensuring children feel secure and supported in their learning.
Role Requirements:
* Ability to be flexible and adapt your approach to meet diverse needs
* Experience with young children with Special Educational Needs
* Capability to build and maintain rapport with young children
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
* L3 Qualification for Teaching in Schools
