Summary of Responsibilities
The Lead Developer will architect, design, and oversee the implementation of a robust, scalable, unified API layer for our client’s platform, using C# .NET. This role involves technical leadership, hands-on development, and close collaboration with a dedicated cross-functional team to deliver high-quality software aligned with the project goals.
Key Duties
* Lead the design and development of full stack applications using C#, .NET.
* Define technical standards, best practices, and code quality guidelines, and agree these with our client’s development team leaders.
* Mentor and guide senior developers, conducting code reviews and knowledge sharing
* Collaborate with stakeholders such as our client’s Product Owners, and our Technical Project Manager to translate business requirements into technical solutions
* Oversee system architecture, integration, and deployment strategies
* Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions
* Must work UK office hours
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
* 5+ years of professional software development experience, with significant full stack expertise
* Advanced proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, Core and Entity Framework
* Experience with Azure infrastructure, especially API Gateway and technologies
* Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Experience with Agile methodologies
Preferred/Bonus Qualifications
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
* Prior experience in a lead or architect role on large-scale projects
* Familiarity with automated testing frameworks
