Millennium Gloucester Hotel London Kensington is seeking a Floor Porter Casual Contract who will be responsible for maintaining clean and orderly corridors, ensuring timely delivery of fresh linen to guest floors, and responding promptly to guest requests to support a high standard of service.
The Floor Porter Key Responsibilities will include:
To clean on your floor all guest and staff areas ensuring all trays / waste bins are emptied, carpets vacuumed, ice machines, signage and house phones have been wiped.
To help keep clean and tidy all linen rooms and trolley cupboards on your floor.
To assist in the delivery and removal of bed cots etc.
To remove soiled linen and rubbish form corridors periodically through the day ensuring corridors are kept clear.
To vacuum all corridors, paying attention to carpet edges.
To deliver clean lined to the allocated floor.
To check all work areas at the end of the day, ensuring all areas are free of linen and rubbish.
To deal courteously and efficiently with all guest enquiries.
To ensure all guest lost property is handed in immediately.
To inform your Housekeeper if you need to leave the floor for any reason other than tea breaks.
You must keep your key card on your person at all times. If the key card is lost, it must be reported immediately. At the end of your duty, the key card must be returned to the Housekeeping Office.
The Experience & Qualifications for Room Attendant:
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written/verbal communication and the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
Confident individual who is adept in prioritising and managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Ability to take the initiative and deal with unexpected situations and last minute changes.
Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential data.
The successful candidate will be:
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive, resourceful with excellent attention to detail
Demonstrate excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills with the customers and other hotel departments
Team worker
Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace environment
