Candidates must have full GMC registration and license to practice, and be on the specialist register for Rheumatology or within 6 months of attaining CCT from the date of interview.
Working at Raigmore Hospital offers a unique experience with the renowned friendliness of the Highlands, alongside options for lively city life or expansive outdoor spaces. The rheumatology service is multidisciplinary, including physiotherapy with ultrasound, specialist nurses managing biologics and methotrexate, and access to portable ultrasound machines in clinics. Virtual clinics are also available via phone or NHS Near Me, accommodating the large geographical area covered by NHS Highland.
The service features its own infusion suite, providing patient-centered infusions with minimal waiting times, easy parking, and access. We aim to maximize clinical, educational, and research opportunities, with support for developing sub-specialty interests. The team is supported by experienced management, administrative, and secretarial staff.
The Highlands offer extensive outdoor activities, including skiing, rock climbing, mountaineering, trekking, beaches, cycling, golf, watersports, and fishing. Loch Ness is nearby, and the cultural life is vibrant. Inverness is a compact city with good schools, a university, and welcoming communities. We invite you to join our team.
