Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent x2 Domestic Assistant at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
What you will do:
You will provide a wide and varied range of domestic services supporting clinical services throughout Ayrshire and Arran, in line with NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification, to meet Healthcare Environment Inspectorate standards and Facilities Monitoring Tool targets.

Knowledge, training, and/or experience required to do the job:
Working within the Domestic Services Department, you will undertake various housekeeping and cleaning duties. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment or working within a healthcare setting, especially mental health areas, would be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, along with good communication skills, are essential.
The post is physically demanding, requiring completion of scheduled labor-intensive tasks, cleaning, housekeeping duties, and manual handling and maneuvering of equipment and supplies.
You should be physically fit, understand the importance of cleanliness in a healthcare environment, and be flexible regarding areas worked within Woodland View (Adult Mental Health wards), Ayrshire Central Hospital, and the North clinics, where priorities may change due to staffing and activity.
