Let us introduce the role AWE is looking for a Proficient Senior Project Planner to support the delivery of a range of complex and interesting manufacturing projects. You’ll be part of a project controls team working on diverse projects that include cutting-edge technology, ensuring the correct capabilities, models, processes, and codes essential to deliver our mission. Proficiency with planning software is critical and will be assessed as part of the recruitment process. What will you be doing? Your day as a Senior Project Planner could include: Leading and contributing to the creation of project baselines. Adding value to performance reporting, forecasting, and assessing subcontractor schedule submissions. Collaborating with Project Managers and technical specialists to guide management and control of project delivery. Contributing to project business cases, change control processes, risk and opportunity management, and peer reviews. Who are we looking for? We do need you to have the following: 2–5 years of true planning experience, including: Network logic, float paths, WBS/CBS creation, possibly EVM, resource levelling, monthly update cycles, change control, What-If analysis, fragnets, etc. Ability to make sound judgment calls on planning and deliver to the business rhythm. Strong proficiency and experience with P6 Strong prioritisation skills to manage varied and changing priorities. Good IT skills, including Excel as a must.
