Join to apply for the Schools Engagement Officer role at Twiford Funeral Homes, LLC & Albemarle Crematorium, Inc.
£27,000 per year
Full-time, 35 hours per week
Fixed-term contract for 12 months
Based in London / home and flexible working
Our client empowers people with the skills they need to succeed in life. They are now looking for a Schools Engagement Officer to join them on a full-time basis on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
What you’ll be doing
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and support the delivery and marketing of the organisation's membership and professional development for schools and Early Years settings. Our client’s membership offer improves literacy by providing tools and resources for planning, staff knowledge development and classroom teaching. Their professional development offer provides high-quality training and CPD for schools, as well as special events, including their annual primary conference.
You will be responsible for supporting delivery and marketing activity. You will manage membership set-up processes across multiple platforms and provide administrative support for a programme of primary CPD. You will be the first point of contact for queries, as well as helping to keep content up-to-date, track financial and engagement data, and deliver events.
This role is based in London, but you will be able to work from home for the majority of the time if you prefer, under our client’s flexible working policy. However, you will need to be in London at least six times per year for team and organisational days, or other office-based work, and unfortunately, they are unable to cover travel costs for this.
What Our Client Is Looking For
You will need experience in administration and team support, as well as the use of contact databases and website content management systems. Excellent written and spoken communication skills, organisational skills and attention to detail are essential.
Experience in a related field, such as the education sector or children’s literacy, or work with schools and teachers, would be an advantage. Familiarity with online delivery methods such as Zoom and Moodle/Totara would also be useful.
Why Our Client’s Work Is Vital
Reading and writing changes everything. They give you the tools to get the most out of life, and the power to shape your future. They’re the key to knowledge, confidence, and inspiration. They’re better results at school, and better jobs. If children grow up without the tools to communicate, without books to read, or opportunities to write, it’s harder to get where you want to go.
Our client helps people overcome these challenges and change their life chances through the power of words—reading, writing, speaking, and listening. From first words, through school days, to training, jobs and beyond.
What Our Client Offers You
* Flexible working options and a positive working culture based on shared values and respect.
* A range of benefits including a generous leave allowance totaling 39 days (including bank holidays and office closure between Christmas and New Year).
* Pension contributions of 8% of annual salary, a cycle to work scheme, an employee assistance programme, and other health and wellbeing benefits.
Application Details
Our client values diversity in all its forms and welcomes applications from Black and Asian backgrounds, candidates with disabilities, and from the communities in which they work. They aim to increase representation among staff, as greater diversity will lead to a greater impact for their work.
