Solicitor / Associate – Defendant Personal Injury
EL/PL | Complex Litigation | Hybrid Working | Up to £60,000 D.O.E
I’m working with a highly regarded national insurance litigation team looking to appoint a Solicitor / Associate into their Birmingham-based Defendant Personal Injury practice. This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to move away from heavily process-driven or volume-based work and gain exposure to more complex, higher quality EL/PL litigation within a genuinely respected team. The Role
* You will manage a varied caseload of defendant EL/PL matters, including both pre-litigation and litigated claims.
* The work includes complex and higher value multi-track cases across sectors including construction, manufacturing, retail, leisure and property, alongside exposure to multi-defendant and Part 20 claims.
* You’ll work closely with insurers, corporates and loss adjusters, while also having the opportunity to support on larger and more technically challenging matters alongside highly experienced Partners recognised within the defendant PI market.
* This is not a purely volume-driven role. The focus is on quality litigation, strong client relationships and delivering practical commercial outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate

* A Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with Defendant Personal Injury experience
* Someone experienced handling EL/PL litigation independently
* A confident litigator looking to deepen their exposure to more technical and complex work

Experience handling multi-track matters and knowledge of policy coverage would be advantageous.
