Band 7 Specialist Physiotherapist (Oncology)
Location: Synthesis Clinic, Reading RG10 9XQ.
Salary: Band 7 (£43,742 – £50,056 per annum full time salary), final salary pro rata to 0.2-04.FTE (1-2 days per week on-site); possibility to increase that for the right candidate
Contract: Part-time employed or freelance.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Band 7 Physiotherapist to join our Integrative Oncology service. This post offers a unique opportunity to work within a compassionate, patient-centred integrative service, delivering specialist physiotherapy interventions that support people living with and beyond cancer. The role has a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary working to optimise function, quality of life, and wellbeing.
Please note that all applicants must be based in the UK and have full authorisation to work in the UK to apply. You must have worked at Band 7 physiotherapy level in the NHS or UK private sector before applying and have a clean up-to-date DBS check.

The Role
You will work as an autonomous practitioner within a multidisciplinary integrative oncology team, providing specialist assessment, treatment and advice for cancer patients. The post includes:
* Specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment of oncology patients.
* Rehabilitation for cancer-related fatigue, pain, reduced mobility, and treatment-related side effects.
* Contribution to holistic, integrative care plans that address physical, psychological and functional needs.
* Close collaboration with the wider Synthesis Clinic multidisciplinary team.
About You
We are looking for a dynamic and compassionate physiotherapist who is passionate about oncology care and integrative practice.
Essential criteria:
* HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
* Relevant postgraduate experience at Band 7 or equivalent, ideally across oncology settings.
* Evidence of advanced clinical reasoning and autonomous practice.
* Experience of multidisciplinary working.
* Commitment to evidence-based, person-centred care.
Desirable criteria:
* Postgraduate training in oncology rehabilitation or lymphoedema management (further training in lymphoedema can be provided).
* Scar massage training (ideally oncology scar massage) and/or medical acupuncture (BMAS) experience are advantageous in this role
* Experience contributing to service development or quality improvement projects.
* Teaching or supervision experience.
