Shift start times between 06:00 & 07:00 Permanent Salary: Competitive dependent on experience 4% shift enhancement £5,000 golden hello (T’s & C’s apply) We are looking for a Senior Theatre Practitioner/SFA Practitioner to join our Theatres team at The Wilmslow Hospital, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. What you will do: Assist World Class Orthopaedic surgeons as a Scrub Practitioner and Surgical First Assistant (SFA) during a variety of surgical procedures, including joint replacements, trauma surgery, and arthroscopic procedures. Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are available and functioning correctly. Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication. Mentor and support junior staff and students, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines. Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation in line with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. What you will bring: Registered Nurse or ODP with current NMC or HCPC registration Extensive experience in orthopaedic surgery with a proven track record as a Senior Scrub Practitioner and Surgical First Assistant Advanced clinical skills and knowledge in orthopaedic procedures and instrumentation Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with strong organisational and time management ability Why HCA UK?
