About the Role
As a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator at Carrstone House Care Home, you will provide a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate residents’ physical, psychological, and social well‑being. You will promote privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights and fulfilment for all residents.
Main Duties
* Identify residents’ life history, needs, and preferences through listening and involving families.
* Develop a detailed life story and plan monthly activity and wellbeing plans and weekly overviews for submission to the Home Manager.
* Arrange activities, events, and outings, encouraging involvement of staff, relatives and visitors.
* Maintain a safe living and working environment and contribute to the positive professional image of the home.
About You
We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, dedicated individual who lives our values of caring, support, honesty, respect and accountability. You should have a positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
Qualifications and Experience
* Previously worked with older people in a residential nursing or dementia setting.
* Experience organising activities and events.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Requirements
* DBS disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
