Bradford Council is launching its newly developed Adults Emergency Duty Team (BASC-EDT), and we are seeking five experienced and dedicated AMHPs/Social Workers to join this exciting new service. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who wish to focus on delivering an AMHP service outside of standard working hours. It is a unique chance to help shape and develop a stable, skilled, and supportive out-of-hours team that will provide urgent, high-quality responses to vulnerable adults across our city. We are also currently reviewing how our out-of-hours AMHP service links with our daytime AMHP Hub.

About the Role
Our Emergency Duty Team operates outside core office hours to deliver statutory Adult Social Care functions, including urgent safeguarding and Mental Health Act assessments in a variety of community and clinical settings. You will be required to work under the remit of the Mental Health Act and therefore must possess a sound knowledge of the services and agencies available to support individuals outside normal working hours. You will work closely with people and families requiring assessment and must collaborate effectively with partner organisations to ensure appropriate support is provided
You'll be working on a rotating out-of-hours rota that covers:
* Weekday evenings and overnight (5:00pm – 8:30am)
* 24-hour cover at weekends and on bank holidays
You'll be supported by clear operational procedures, responsive on-call senior management, and a collegiate working environment that encourages collaboration and shared decision-making.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking experienced, motivated professionals who are confident working independently under pressure. You will be solution-focused and committed to ensuring positive outcomes for individuals in crisis.
Essential:
* Qualified Social Worker (Degree or equivalent)
* Registered with Social Work England

* Competitive salary and generous annual leave
