However the Trust operates as an Agile Working Team therefore staff may be working from home on a regular basis as required by the service. However, occasionally travel around Warwickshire and into your base will be required so access to your own transport would be helpful. Job overview Breast Service The Warwick breast team is a well-regarded team treating around 280 breast cancers per year. There are 4 onco-plastic breast consultants offering a wide range of onco-plastic and breast reconstructive procedures. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the breast team was based in a purpose-built unit with consultant radiology support providing immediate reporting. There are close links with the Coventry screening unit who join us for the breast MDT meeting. We are looking for a motivated and caring individual who will complement our team. Advert This is a full-time post of 40 hours per week, attracting 10 PAs. Sessions will include outpatient clinics in both Warwick hospital and Stratford hospital, operating theatre, a multi-disciplinary meeting, and clinical administration. Detailed job description and main responsibilities Applications are invited for an initial 12-month post with the possibility of extension, for an experienced speciality doctor in breast surgery at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for a friendly, highly enthusiastic doctor to join the well-regarded breast team at Warwick Hospital. The candidate should be motivated and caring and will complement the existing team. The successful candidate will be expected to support a range of breast clinics, to be competent to see patients in their own clinics (younger women clinic, family history clinic) and to help in breast theatre / manage breast emergencies. Support and training given as required. It is also expected that the individual will take part in service development projects, audits, and research. It would also help if they had an interest in medical student teaching. It is expected that the post holder will have full MRCS, or equivalent and full GMC registration. The post has no on call commitment.
