Haynes Development is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager with the passion, drive, and energy to lead a team in design-build construction and development of unique and creative commercial and residential properties in Connecticut.
The Senior Construction Project Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of construction management to ensure projects are completed on or ahead of schedule and within budget, in accordance with design standards. This role drives the entire process from pre-construction to post-construction (cradle to grave).
This position involves overseeing and executing commercial and residential construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality project delivery. Collaboration with architects, contractors, and internal teams is essential to align project goals with business objectives. The role also includes risk management and problem-solving to address challenges during construction. Ultimately, the Senior Construction Project Manager will contribute to the growth and success of our construction operations by ensuring projects enhance the customer experience and meet corporate standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* At least 7 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in the retail sector.
* Proven success in managing large-scale construction projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Professional certifications such as PMP or LEED accreditation.
* Experience with sustainable building practices and green construction.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
* Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop project plans and specifications.
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
* Prepare and present project updates to senior management and stakeholders, addressing concerns or changes.
* Implement risk management strategies and develop contingency plans.
Skills:
Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for managing teams and liaising with stakeholders. Proficiency in project management software and tools is required for tracking progress and resource management. Analytical skills are important for assessing risks and making informed decisions. A solid understanding of construction processes, regulations, and sustainable practices will support compliance and environmentally responsible construction initiatives.
