The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational performance, ensuring processes run efficiently, service standards are maintained, and organisational objectives are achieved. This role plays a central part in translating strategic priorities into structured, measurable operational delivery.
The position requires a proactive leader who can manage people, processes, and performance while driving continuous improvement and maintaining strong governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations across designated teams or business functions
* Develop, implement, and maintain operational processes and procedures
* Ensure operational activities align with strategic objectives and KPIs
* Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements where required
* Manage resource planning, workload allocation, and operational priorities
* Identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation measures
* Lead, coach, and develop operational teams
* Manage supplier relationships and external service providers where applicable
* Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and governance requirements
* Prepare regular performance and operational reports for senior leadership
Operational Improvement
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality
* Review workflows and identify opportunities for optimisation
* Support the implementation of new systems, tools, or operational frameworks
* Ensure operational changes are clearly communicated and effectively embedded
Required Experience and Skills
* Proven experience in an Operations Manager or similar leadership role
* Strong understanding of operational planning, performance management, and process improvement
* Experience managing teams and developing people
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured, deadline-driven environment
* Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
* High levels of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail
Desirable Experience
* Experience in regulated, service-led, or operationally complex environments
