We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a well-established and highly respected professional services organisation based in central Birmingham.
This is a newly created role, offering an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to take on a broad and varied position within a collaborative and growing finance team. Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting financial reporting,pliance, and operational finance activities.
Your new role
1. Preparation and review of monthly management accounts
2. Posting and reviewing journals, accruals, and fixed assets
3. Financial analysis, reporting, and performance insights
4. Cashflow forecasting and treasury management
5. VAT returns, P11Ds, PSA returns, and otherpliance reporting
6. Supporting payroll processes
7. Invoice review and supplier statement reconciliations
8. Balance sheet and account reconciliations
9. Supporting audit processes and year-end activities
10. Managing sector-specific financial processes and reporting
11. Assisting with continuous improvement of finance systems and processes
This position is ideal for someone looking for a hands-on, varied finance role where they can gain exposure across both management accounting and operational finance within a professional services setting.
What you'll need to succeed
12. Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
13. Experience in a management accounting or all-round finance role
14. Ideally from a professional services or legal environment
15. Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
16. Organised and able to manage a varied workload
17. Confidentmunicating with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
