Senior Projects Pensions Administrator
We are hiring for a Senior Pensions Projects Administrator who will be based in one of our offices in Welwyn. In this role you will provide high‑quality service to our leading pension administration business, supporting senior associates with pension increases, benefit statements, administration reports, monthly reporting and testing of automated calculation solutions. You will run and manage large projects, maintain reporting requirements and ensure full system automation.
Role
* Collaborate with the Team Leader to ensure all delivery promises and performance standards are achieved.
* Support senior associates with pension increases, benefit statements, administration reports, monthly reporting and testing of automated calculation solutions.
* Check and monitor work completed by junior colleagues, providing feedback and guidance to support Right First‑Time targets and output targets across the team.
* Work on a range of pension administration related tasks, including complex calculations, data entry and answering queries using manual system processes across different member pension schemes.
* Monitor own projects and those of junior colleagues to ensure agreed target dates are achieved and work is of a high standard, including scoping costs for projects and monitoring spend against the budget.
* Develop homepages, precedent documents and produce test packs for automation, test and sign off calculations for DB and DC members.
* Assist and prepare large mailing projects to members.
* Assist in due diligence exercises, analysing data quality, identifying data issues, and proposing solutions as well as monitoring and managing data cleaning requirements.
* Act as key contact for an agreed list of projects and maintain and develop client relationships in respect of these.
* Act as a point of escalation for the team for technical issues, non‑standard cases and complaints.
* Continuously seek to identify areas where the service to clients/members could be improved and take forward process improvements as required.
* Coach, support and mentor junior colleagues, providing feedback and supporting the wider development and knowledge of the team.
Qualifications
* Previous experience working in an occupational pension administration team, carrying out administration processes including Retirements, Transfers and Deaths.
* Experience of working and managing small projects is desirable.
* Ability to carry out and manage high volumes of work while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
* High level attention to detail and skilled in following and applying procedural documentation and checking the work of other colleagues.
* Experience of coaching and supporting less experienced colleagues.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, including good written and verbal communication and use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to manage own workload, wider teamwork load and multiple client/member queries or projects at the same time whilst maintaining a high quality service.
