As a skilled Fitter, you’ll be a vital part of our operations, contributing to: Mechanical assembly Sheet metal work Fabrication and finishing of aluminium and steel components These components will be expertly welded, rigorously tested, and inspected to meet our stringent quality standards. Comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided to help you succeed. Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly guidelines to complete tasks accurately. Assemble and test products at various production stages. Collaborate with production teams to meet project goals and deadlines. Support continuous improvement initiatives such as ACE activities (5S, TPM, Turnbacks, and Clinics). Maintain full traceability of materials and adhere to strict quality control standards. Undertake ongoing internal and external training, including welding certification requirements. Keep the work environment clean, organized, and compliant with company standards. Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) protocols. Education & Experience: NVQ, City & Guilds, or a similar vocational qualification in fabrication, mechanical, or engineering (relevant experience will also be considered). Skills & Certifications: Demonstrated experience in hand fabrication and sheet metal work. Proven ability to work to high tolerance and quality standards. Familiarity with precision tools such as Vernier calipers, digital calipers, or measuring gauges. Experience in aerospace, motorsport, or similarly regulated industries is advantageous but not essential. Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills. Required Security Clearance: This role may involve access to export-controlled information and hardware. An export license may be required to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
